Many of you may not know or remember, but it was about this time last year that we officially “kicked-off” Agel at an event in Salt Lake City. And while it has been exciting, enlightening, and entertaining to be a part of a new company from its very inception and watch it grow into a successful enterprise, I honestly believe that right now is the best time to be a part of and active in this remarkable company. The phenomenal growth phase is just beginning.
A few years ago while attending a training seminar, the instructor had us memorize the following quote from poet Ella Wheeler Wilcox: “There is no chance, no destiny, no fate; that can circumvent, or hinder, or control, the firm resolve of a determined soul.” I believe this to be at the core of our success today. We are determined to provide you with unique products, a powerful Pay Plan, the right tools, an effective culture, and an incredible support team. We are determined to help everyone achieve physical and financial independence.
As I talked about last week, your success in Agel is directly connected to your determination. Fueled by a burning belief, it is your determination that will keep you going in spite of obstacles, put downs, and disappointments. What I like so much about the quote from Ella Wilcox is that it helps me stay focused on the real source of power. Real positive power comes from within and not from any external circumstances.
Helen Keller once said, “Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all.” Certainly, this remarkable woman could have easily given up and pointed to her circumstances as an excuse to live a life void of notoriety. No one would have blamed this deaf and blind girl if she settled for what “fate” had handed her. But instead, it was her daring and determined efforts that lead her to a life of fulfillment in which she not only learned to communicate, but to publish books, and to affect the lives of millions around the world.
When you honestly stop and think about what “controls” or “hinders” your success, you begin to realize that it is simply a matter of what you choose to focus on. Of course, we all face challenges and stumbling blocks. But the success-directed mind will look for the opportunity in all obstacles and see the obstacles for the illusions they really are.
Start today with a firm determination to have your mind fixed on achieving greatness with your Agel business. Set your goals high and strive daily to achieve them. As you focus your attention on the opportunities that each of life’s challenges brings, you will start to realize that every problem contains within itself the seeds of its own solution. The problems that you overcome are nothing more than the next determined step toward your eventual success.
