What makes fall so great? The kids are back in school, the leaves are falling and football is in the air. All of the above. But, for many of us, it is the prospect of “starting anew” and improving our lives, our business and ourselves. I invite you to take a few minutes and evaluate where you are with your Agel business. Is it where you want it to be? Where will it be in the next 90 days? We are entering into the most productive time of the year for our industry. How will you be spending your time, what will your team be doing to grow their business?
During these exciting times, I reflect daily on our future and all those factors that are contributing today to our eventual success tomorrow. I’ve come to realize something. As a company, we can look back at our first year of experience and see the decisions we made that have had a direct impact on where we are today. The same is true for all individuals.
We are where we are today because of the decisions we have made in our past. Everything is based on those decisions. Your decision to join Agel has brought you to your current position, whether you are a Double Diamond Director or a new team member. This is important to realize since the same is true as we look forward. Where you will be in the next two years will depend largely on the decisions you make in the next 90 days planning your future, you can never take lightly the decisions you make today.
Anthony Robbins teaches that we all have three major categories of decisions we make every waking moment although we are rarely conscious of them. These are:
1. What to do or how to act. These are the most obvious and overt decisions we make.
2. What things mean. We make decisions every day about how to interpret our world without ever realizing we are in complete control of this process.
3. What to focus on. By directing our focus and choosing to concentrate on solutions, not obstacles, we empower ourselves to meet our goals and fulfill our destinies.
While your past decisions have determined your present circumstances, it is also important to point out the past does NOT have power to determine your future. If you’re unhappy with the results you’ve experienced in the past, please keep in mind that your past does not equal your future. As Dr. Wayne Dyer says, “I liken the past to the wake of a boat. It does not drive the boat, nor does it determine the direction it’s headed. It only shows where it’s been.”
You have limitless power to determine your own direction, and that direction is based on the decisions you make today. Your decisions on what to do, how to interpret what happens to you, and what you must focus your attention on will ultimately determine the quality of life you enjoy in the months to come.
The next 90 days will be very important in your life. The decisions you make today will determine where you’re going to be in the next two years. I encourage you to take control of this process and make it work FOR you. Determine what you want this business to do for you and act accordingly. As I’ve heard many of my friends say, “You can do this business part time, you can do it full time, or you can do it BIG TIME!” It is truly up to you. Share what you have with everyone. Plan to attend as many corporate events as possible. Get 10 people to your next ABB. I guarantee it will make a huge difference in your future and establish a pattern of success that cannot be broke.
Believing in You,
